Debtmerica is an accredited organization, and "Best Practice Standards" award winner
as recognized by The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC).

Debtmerica Recognized as an Accredited Organization in Compliance
with TASC Best Practice Standards at Annual Conference

LOS ANGELES/April 28/PRNewswire/ Debtmerica, LLC, a nationwide debt settlement firm, received the "TASC Best Practice Standards" award from The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC). The award was presented to Debtmerica at the annual TASC conference which was held the first weekend of April in Las Vegas, NV.

The audit is thorough and includes a review of items such as the company's website, financial position, history and employee training records. Calls are made to each company to evaluate the legitimacy and accuracy of employee responses to common consumer debt questions. The overall audit evaluates companies for their competence and performance abilities.

"The audit was incredibly detailed and we are very pleased that we are now accredited; receiving such great feedback. This accreditation is a direct result of our staff's hard work and on-going commitment to not only the company but to the thousands of clients they enroll each month into our debt reduction program", says Harry Langenberg, co-founder and managing partner of Debtmerica, LLC.

Debtmerica has been settling debt since 2006 and currently has one of the largest staff of debt consultants in the country. The firm offers its clients an alternative to bankruptcy when dealing with unmanageable consumer debt. Their aggressive approach to settling debt has historically reduced consumer debt up to 40-60% of the original debt amount, enabling consumers to become debt free in as little as 12-36 months.

The downturn of the real estate industry has caused many people who were once employed there to turn to debt settlement as a new opportunity. This sudden massive interest in debt settlement has brought a lot of attention. However, some companies out there saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of consumers during these desperate times. Thus, TASC was formed in 2005.

TASC was created with the goals of promoting good business practices within the debt settlement industry and to protect consumers by setting standards for its members. To foster fair regulation of the industry, lobbying efforts are also made on the state and federal level on behalf of debt settlement companies. Such recognition, such as being Accredited in accordance with the TASC Best Practice Standards has enabled companies like Debtmerica, to separate themselves from the pack.

"In today's financial crisis there are some companies out there that take advantage of consumers while they are down. The concerns of consumers are absolutely valid," says Jesse Torres, co-founder and managing partner of Debtmerica, LLC. "I am pleased that TASC has implemented a standard in which debt settlement companies are measured by and that Debtmerica has been recognized by TASC as we continue to be dedicated to our clients' success."
